John 6:51

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live for ever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor - Isaiah 55:5

It gives me great joy to welcome you to the official site of the 'Bread From Heaven Ministries', the place where we serve the bread that nourishes the soul. Our mission is simple and it is to propagate the word of God, to feed the citizens of God's kingdom with the ever living, ever powerful word of God that is able to open each one of us into God's very best. As citizens of this Kingdom, your life is unique and precious to God, your soul more especially, God is interested in every aspect of your existence. God is not only interested in the deliverance of your soul, he is equally interested in the prosperity of your soul. It is my prayer therefore that God will make your time in this place a blessed one. Shalom!

The need for salvation

Hebrews 6:9 Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case—the things that have to do with salvation.

Why do I need to be saved and from what?.... asked a man trying very hard to mock the way of faith. Although the intent was to mock, nevertheless it remains a valid question, one which every believer need to ask and the answers from the quest must be kept constantly in focus.

The true sabbath rest

Hebrews 4:8-9 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath- rest for the people of God;

Our plight in the hands of life's trials and challenges may make us become susceptible to the misconception that the rest promised by our Salvation is one which the riches and the material blessings of this world can give....we are wrong. If we need any wake up call on this, this is what this scripture verse sensitises us to.

You are still in the race

Philipians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Another year has rolled by, one that holds all manner of memories for those who survived and by the gracious mercies of the Lord have been ushered into a new one. Of course these memories would be different from person to person, for some their memories of the past year or years would be that which they are nostalgic about, one that was pleasant and they would hope they can continue to experience going forward.

Beware of folly....

Proverbs 19:3 A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord.
Note carefully, the scripture is not saying that we are completely immuned from folly , rather the scripture warns us about the consequences of a life given over to the way of folly. It is talking about a man or woman who makes folly their life time companion, saying if a man continues in that path, there is only one outcome.

Envy not the sinner

Proverbs 23:17-18 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Perhaps one of biggest temptations which those who set their heart to follow God as well as the desire to keep his ways are daily confronted with, is one which comes when such look around and they see the godless prosper and excel, and their lives appear to be trouble free.

Food For The day

Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing…… Is anything too hard for the Lord? -Genesis 18:11,14

While it is true that the realities of our daily existence in the body of flesh presents us with certain data called facts, we need to pause a little to ask the question especially for those who are of faith. We need to ask the question "By Whose report?".

Matthew 7:7-8
“[Ask, Seek, Knock] ?Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
