Psalm 1: 2-3

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing…… Is anything too hard for the Lord? -Genesis 18:11,14

While it is true that the realities of our daily existence in the body of flesh presents us with certain data called facts, we need to pause a little to ask the question especially for those who are of faith. We need to ask the question "By Whose report?".

Delight yourself in the Lord

A call into Christian living. (Mathew 6:25-34, Philipians 4:4-9)

Perhaps one the biggest challenges facing a number of Christians especially newly converted believers is the question of how they are expected to live their lives after coming to Christ. You see it is one thing to accept the offer of salvation and the commitment to be a follower of Christ, while it is quite another proposition entirely to live as one.

Beware of dogs...

Philippians 3:2  Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision
One of the mistakes many believers often make in their study of the scripture is to come across verses like this and to automatically assume they are addressed to those outside the church especially because of the strong language used.

Facing the reality of being a new creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
It can be said that perhaps the biggest challenge facing believers today is not the threat posed by the enemy even though in many quarters the enemy appear to have been given a status that commands so much attention from them,

What are you looking for?

Food For The day

But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we knowwe are in him: - 1 John 2:5.

How do we demonstrate our love for God? What is the proof of our love for God, our church attendance, offerings or the works we do? Just exactly what does it mean to love God? Well the scripture helps us to understand this better informing us that our love for him is best demonstrated by our obedience to his word. Many say they want to please God, many cry that they want to love God but say they do not know how. Well to start with ..let us open our hearts to his words with the aim of obeying them, no truer way exists for us to demonstrate our love for him.  Lord help us to obey your word.

John 17:17
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
