Psalm 1: 2-3

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing…… Is anything too hard for the Lord? -Genesis 18:11,14

While it is true that the realities of our daily existence in the body of flesh presents us with certain data called facts, we need to pause a little to ask the question especially for those who are of faith. We need to ask the question "By Whose report?".

Delight yourself in the Lord

A call into Christian living. (Mathew 6:25-34, Philipians 4:4-9)

Perhaps one the biggest challenges facing a number of Christians especially newly converted believers is the question of how they are expected to live their lives after coming to Christ. You see it is one thing to accept the offer of salvation and the commitment to be a follower of Christ, while it is quite another proposition entirely to live as one.

Beware of dogs...

Philippians 3:2  Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision
One of the mistakes many believers often make in their study of the scripture is to come across verses like this and to automatically assume they are addressed to those outside the church especially because of the strong language used.

Facing the reality of being a new creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
It can be said that perhaps the biggest challenge facing believers today is not the threat posed by the enemy even though in many quarters the enemy appear to have been given a status that commands so much attention from them,

What are you looking for?

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus

Food For The day

Romans 8:38-39 For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is no debating the love which God has for his creation, he is love, by nature that is what defines him and it flows freely and endlessly from him towards his creation. And for the man that he made in his own image, the outpouring of God's love for him cannot be measured. There is no measuring yardstick, criteria or parameter known to man. that can be used to adequately estimate his love for us. Many assume that because of this, then God must automatically make all the goodness of his love to become available to them irrespective of what they do with their lives. They are wrong, the truth is we have an obligation to receive and open ourselves to the power of his love. For those who are followers of Christ, God has made the fullness of his love available to us through his son, it is therefore by opening ourselves and our lives to Jesus that we begin to open ourselves to the fullness of God's love for us and all that it promises.

Hebrews 10:30-31
“For we know him who said, ?It is mine to avenge; I will repay,? and again, ?The Lord will judge his people.? It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
