John 6:48

I am the bread of life.

Welcome

Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor - Isaiah 55:5

It gives me great joy to welcome you to the official site of the 'Bread From Heaven Ministries', the place where we serve the bread that nourishes the soul. Our mission is simple and it is to propagate the word of God, to feed the citizens of God's kingdom with the ever living, ever powerful word of God that is able to open each one of us into God's very best. As citizens of this Kingdom, your life is unique and precious to God, your soul more especially, God is interested in every aspect of your existence. God is not only interested in the deliverance of your soul, he is equally interested in the prosperity of your soul. It is my prayer therefore that God will make your time in this place a blessed one. Shalom!

Judge yourself soberly....

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgement, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.- Romans 12:3

Perhaps one of the major causes of conflict in the life of a man is his inability to humbly appraise himself with the aim of being able to appreciate first himself and from whatever that exercise delivers to him learn to appreciate others.

The power of His mercy

Genesis 4:14-15 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the ground; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth; and it will come to pass, that whosoever findeth me will slay me. And Jehovah said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And Jehovah appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should smite him.

In todays passage we encounter an interesting conversation between Cain and God, shortly after Cain had killed Abel his brother and as a result God pronounced a punishment upon him.

Where are you coming from and where are you going ?

Genesis16: 7 – 10. The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur. And he said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from my mistress Sarai.” The angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress and submit to her.” The angel of the Lord also said to her, “I will surely multiply your offspring so that they cannot be numbered for multitude.” ...

About relationships...

Print

Genesis 13:8-9 Then Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen. Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself from me. If you take the left hand, then I will go to the right, or if you take the right hand, then I will go to the left.”

As humans, relationships play an essential part in our day to day well being in our sojourn here on earth, and they go a long way towards shaping our life be it in a positive or negative way.

Resist the temptation to conform

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world..........

If we take some time to meditate on this short but profound instruction, we would discover a whole lot of truth and gain significant insight into why the Christian faith especially the Church of Christ now appears to be faced with the crisis of credibility while she watches as her moral authority is being called to question.

Food For The day

For the wages of sin is death¦.. Romans 6:23.

The reason why the scripture never stops warning us about sin is because of the wages which sin rewards with. Yes we do serve a merciful God, yes we do live under grace, but we must also understand that for every act there is a result, for every act which the scripture deemed sinful, there are consequences which are dire. These consequences wipe out on the long run whatever fleeting pleasures those sinful acts might have given initially. You see these pleasures are not the rewards which sin gives, rather  the reward is the dire consequences  that follows, long after the pleasures have all gone. Therefore listen to what the scripture says, flee from every appearance of evil and you will save yourself from the wages which sin rewards with.

Hebrews 10:30-31
“For we know him who said, ?It is mine to avenge; I will repay,? and again, ?The Lord will judge his people.? It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
