Isaiah 55 : 1-2

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Our perfect Role Model

Looking up to Jesus , the author and the finisher of our faith - Hebrews 12:2.

We need to be careful as believers how we go about setting up role models for ourselves especially in the body of Christ. Why do I say this? Well for the simple reason that a number of believers in the process of looking up to their role models or father figures in the Lord, have taken their eyes completely off the one to whom they should really be looking up to.

The will of God an insightful exploration

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. - Ephesians 5:17.

One popular phrase that is freely used among the followers of Christ irrespective of their denomination would be; ‘The Will of God’. It does not matter what denominational background you come from, the reference as well as the use of this phrase transcends doctrinal barriers, both in acceptance and in it’s application as everyone subscribes to a large degree that it plays a very vital role both in their religious obligations and walk of faith.

The marriage that God ordained

He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. – Mathew 19:8.

One of the areas where as citizens of the kingdom we need to pay close attention to what is required of us is in the area of marriage. It is sad to see Christian marriages and homes being torn apart in the same manner as those who do not belong to the kingdom.

The Lord's Prayer

Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray: - Mathew 6:8-9.

One of the most important lessons that Jesus taught all of us that are his disciples is about how to pray and in what manner of way that we ought to go about it. In the early days of his ministry Jesus went about teaching his disciples about the principles of the Kingdom of God that he has brought to mankind, the very kingdom of which he came at the request of God the father to declare and make available to all that would believe in him.

The Journey to the Cross

Print PDF

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh - Romans 8:3

The journey that took the Messiah to the cross offers us a deep insight into the history of man and his maker in a relationship that showed how the Holy, Merciful, Gracious and Loving God dealt with the disobedient and wayward creatures whom he made in his own image, created for fellowship and to bring him pleasure.

Food For The day

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly - Romans 5:6

Many people defer the call to accept Christ till another time in the future, their excuse 'I wll answer when the time is ripe, when i know that i am ready'. You see for many the belief is at some point in time they would be able to find something good in them to qualify them to come to Christ, to them this is the right time. I once subscribed to this belief myself. But when is the right time, well we see from the scripture, the right time is when we are helplessly and hopelessly lost in sin. The right time is when there is nothing in us to draw us to God, the right time is when nothing in us is worthy of God. You see the right time is when the mercy of God is in it's full glory, the right time is now and not tommorow.
