John 6:49 -50

Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.

Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor - Isaiah 55:5

You now have dominion over sin

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God  (1 John 3:9).

After reading this verse perhaps the honest question that would readily come to mind would be, how true is the declaration above? How true can this be in the face of the many struggles that almost all believers go through with temptation and sin? The boldness to

Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders, make the most of every opportunity Colossians 4:5.

As a disciple of Christ living in a world that is fast turning away from God because it claims to find religion obsolete and inadequate to address issues in the so called evolving modern world, where do I stand and what is my role in helping the world to see the true light that the gospel represents and the power it confers for the salvation of all mankind?

Giving thanks in all circumstances

Give thanks in all circumstances... for this is the will of God for you1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Unless we understand why we should be thankful in every circumstance, it would be difficult for anyone to see the sense behind it neither can anyone see any benefit that can accrue from doing so. We would as a result struggle to understand why anyone could be thankful in every circumstance, especially if they are difficult and trying moments.

Why Pray

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. - Luke 11:1

Prayer remains one of the most powerful tool in the hands of every believer and the act of prayer remains one of the most fruitful exercise that we as believers can ever undertake out of the many that we have been instructed to undertake.

Food For The day

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits -Psalm 103:2.

It so easy for us to focus on the things that we do not have while failing to appreciate the blessings in our lives. The result of this is that we are in a position where we are never satisfied in life as it appears to pass us by while we feel unfulfilled in it. The truth is until we learn how to take stock of the blessings in our lives, as well as celebrate every one of them, we would always be in this trap. So take the time today to count your blessings in life, it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Matthew 1:20-21
“But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ?Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.?”
