Conclusion

I want you to know that from what we have looked at so far, expectation is a power concept and when motivated and administered by faith, it becomes even more potent producing astounding result. If you are still wondering but why do I need to know about the power of expectation in the light of what I have shared with you, then you need to talk to those who have walked in the power of expectation that is not driven by the truth upon which faith is built. These are people who have walked in the power of expectation but have come crashing down bitterly disappointed because they walked in an expectation that is not backed up by faith but by emotion alone.

I stated earlier that expectation would always produce a result, be it the desired result or not, it would always produce one. It would either give you fulfilment, satisfaction or it would leave you feeling so bitterly disappointed, just ask many who allowed their expectations to be driven by emotions as opposed to true faith.

When you are walking in faith, do not be afraid to release the power of expectation that is driven by that faith as it will produce what is on promise by your faith. In the same vein I would caution you to check every now and then what drives and motivates your expectations. There are a number of believers that I come across today who are bitter, who now doubt their faith and what it promises. The number of believers who read the bible and talk about faith but deny that miracles exist continues to rise and this number is being increased by believers who at one time or the other have exercised the hope of being healed or receiving some miracles which never came to pass. This I must say are the products of expectations released by emotions.

Note carefully what I am trying to say here I am not saying that it is only those who got their breakthroughs that have exercised the power of expectations accordingly, but if in the process of releasing the power of expectation you become bitter from the result that it produced, then such need to ask again, was it released by faith or by sheer emotion.

May the Holy Spirit , the one who is the custodian of truth shed more light on this, and may he give us more understanding about how to put to use the power of expectation in our walk of faith. Amen.

Psalm 1:1-2
“[BOOK I Psalms 1?41] Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.”
