John 6:35

Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

What you must remember in the midst of trials and difficulties

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. – Isaiah 43:1.

That we would come across trials and pass through difficult times in this life is more or less a foregone conclusion, perhaps what we need to remind ourselves of, is what we need to do if at any point in time we are confronted by them. The walk of faith does not shield us from this life event, but what it does is to equip and position us to be able to handle these times and seasons in such a manner that we are able to overcome and come out of them unscathed.

One of the ways through which our faith equips us for these trying seasons, is by keeping us informed about what to expect in life as well as how to deal with them as they happen. It does not stop there, it goes further to enlighten our understanding about the position of God in all of these, this is so because in the midst of the despair brought about by what may turn out to be difficult circumstances, many believers become perplexed while wondering what the position of God is, with regards to the ordeal they are going through. It is not uncommon therefore to hear many lament and cry out ‘Why have you forsaken me Lord..’, the reason being they assume that he is unaware of what life has thrown their way. Not only that many would even leave room for condemnation and become tempted as result to feel that they are being judged and punished, because to them the only reason why God would allow them to go through such trying times is because he must be angry with them.

In addition to this information, the scripture also equips every believer with the knowledge of how we should conduct ourselves in the midst of it all. You see the truth is as much as God is committed to seeing his people through the difficulties of life, he also demands certain obligations from them, While he remains ever so committed to his own part it is expedient for his people not only to understand what is expected of them, but to do everything possible to adhere to it.

In the light of this, the following information will greatly benefit those who are in need of inspiration to confront what they are going through in life. Whatever life has thrown your way and no matter what you are going through, I am inspired to tell you that the following information will help preserve you through it all. I want you to know that the struggles you are going through will challenge everyone of them, but you must remain steadfast, because they represent the pillar upon which you rest the assurance that you will come out a winner.

.There is nothing strange in what you are going through, you are not the first and you are not the only one and you won’t be the last. Many are the afflictions of the righteous the scripture says, but rejoice because God is committed to delivering him from every one of them 1 Peter 4:12. Hebrews 12:4-9, Psalm 34:19.

. You are not alone and God is not unmindful of what you are going through. God sees, he hears, he feels and empathizes with you. He cares about you. 1Peter 3:12, Genesis 16:13.

. Do not fix your eyes on your trials alone (it will look bigger than it should and you would look smaller than the problem and incapable of overcoming it). Do not drop you head down (you will be discouraged and defeated), do not look around and about for help you will be disappointed and frustrated), keep your eyes up all through. Learn to always fix your eyes up above (for this is where your help comes from). Psalm 121, Psalm 91.

. Understand that there are times and season in life, understand after darkness comes light, at the end of every tunnel no matter how long, is a light, after night comes day. Weeping last only through the night,. joy cometh in the morning, after pain comes relief, after trials and persecution comes glory. All of these are time and season related.- Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8, 1 Peter 5:10.

. Remember who you are in him, you are more than a conqueror, the greater one lies within you and you are the apple of his eyes. - 1 John 3:1, Romans 8 : 37-39.

. Remember if you can pray and praise, you cannot lose. Mathew 7:7, Philippians 4:6-7

. Understand that it is those who endure who are called blessed. And after you have endured, you too will inherit the blessing.- Hebrews 12:1, 1 Peter 5:10

. Understand the position of your Creator. He has a plan for your life. It is not strange to him to see his people undergo trials, what is strange is when they are destroyed by it, that is not part of his plan as a result, he will not permit it. Hebrews 12:6, Job 1:11-12, 1 Corinthians 10:12-13, Jeremiah 29:11.

. Remember God's faithfulness, always remember what he has done in the past, if he has done it before, his faithfulness demands from him and also assures us, that he will do it again. Therefore learn to delight yourself in the Lord at all times. 2 Corinthians 1:10.

. Remember nothing is too hard for him, no mountain too high, no wall too strong and no grave too secure to stop him. There is no darkness too dark to keep the light of his glory out of your life.- Genesis 18:14, Jeremiah 32:27.

Finally we all must understand the nature of the world we inhabit it is a fallen world where the power of darkness has the licence to reign due to the sins of the mortal man, trials, challenges and difficulties would come to all. The scripture does not shield us as believers from this truth, neither does it condemn us to a position of helplessnes, but when we take our eyes away from the comfort and the place of refuge which God has revealed and made available to through his words, our fate would be similar in many ways to those who are in the world without God.

God is our refuge and a present help in time of trouble, it is not only Israel that he prepared Goshen a place of refuge for, the truth is there is a place of refuge for everyone he calls his own, it is a place where he hides them until the storm is over. How do i locate my Goshen, well it is near you and it is in the words of your mouth and the  promises which he has made through his words. We have an obligation in our walk of faith, we must fasten our eyes upon his him and what he reveals to us. As long as we can do this, we will experience what Israel experienced in Goshen.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57
“?Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
