John 6:48

I am the bread of life.

Do not compromise your salvation

See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterwards, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done. – Hebrews 12:16-17.

Can a believer’s salvation be compromised? Well there are those who believe that it cannot be compromised, they premise this on the belief that once a man is saved he is always saved. But we are instructed not to be like Esau, which begs the question, what did Esau forfeit by his actions? His election or just the blessings attached to it? We need to be wary of teachings that cannot stand under the scrutiny of light of the gospel; we must flee from anything that can compromise our salvation.
