Psalm 1: 2-3

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

The Lord who heals

…For I am the Lord who heals you – Exodus 15:26.

Shortly after the God delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt and from the army of Egypt, he began to introduce himself to them and one of the attributes by which he described himself is that of a healing God. He was saying to them that not only is he the God who can deliver as they had just witnessed, but he is also the God who heals. Since he is also the God who does not change, we can be sure that he still manifests same attributes today. For those who seek to benefit from this, there is a condition attached to it. What is the condition you may ask? If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes – You see he sent his words to us as his commandment and the power for our healing is in his commandments.

1 Peter 1:18-19
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
