John 6:49 -50

Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.

My time of recompense

Esther 6:1-3,-11 That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him.  It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.“What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?”the king asked.“Nothing has been done for him,”his attendants answered..............

Mordecai had carried out some good deeds in the past, he exposed the plot to kill the king but several years later it appeared as if his good deeds had gone unnoticed and would not be rewarded. Many would have given up, especially when the fate of Mordecai in the hands of Hamman is replayed.

Until the day when the one who was meant to reward him became restless and felt a compelling need to go through the book of chronicles .Why the king was restless or what brought that condition upon him the scripture did not tell us. But if we follow closely the events that was unfolding and which preceded this night, the one that is approaching the climax, we would not need to go too far to see that the hand of the Almighty God the One who presides over the affairs of men as well as the One who controls the hearts of kings was in control. ... Today, the book of chronicles of good deeds is being opened and your name is going to show up for the good you deed somewhere in the past , one which you cannot even remember. Your cry has come to the attention of the Most High.. Amen.

We would see that the one who decreed a time and season for everything under the heavens was at work...The time and the season for Mordecai to be rewarded had come and it could not have come sooner especially when the plot by Hamman to eliminate him as well as his kinsmen had reached the climax. Mordecai has entered his season of recompense and as a result anyone trying to stop him will be swept away, just like Hamman was swept aside One of the lessons from this message being, when you enter your season, when it is your time to be recompensed no one can stop you.

Esther 6:11So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, “This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!

If you endure and persevere to make it into your appointed time, there is no Haman in creation that can plot your downfall. It was no coincidence that everything began to align in the right order for Mordecai when he entered his season, it was no coincidence that the evil that was plotted for him turned out for good and the gallows that was set up for him by his enemies was used to hang his enemies. It was no accident that it was his enemy who was instructed to lead him around the town as the one the King has favored and honored, did the Psalm 23 not say...though preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

Psalm 23:5 You prepare a table before mein the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows.

Truth be told when a man enters his season, every curse and pronouncement against him turns into blessing, that is the privilege of making it into your appointed time and destiny. His enemies would all queue up to serve him or face humiliation and destruction.

Folks I want you to understand that there is both profound and divine wisdom in what Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, revealed to us about time and season under heavens, the foundation of the world was established on this with the creation of night and day to mark special days, times and seasons (Genesis 1:14). There is also the covenant which decreed into existence seed time and harvest time, one which God said would never cease as long as the earth endures:

Genesis 8:22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

Although Mordecai might have felt that his good deeds went unnoticed, he probably might have felt his seed time was in vain but he was wrong, the one who ordained time and season, as well as seed time and harvest time is still on the throne. He remains faithful , also we are informed by the scripture that He and his words are the same , in addition to the truth which says He is immutable, He is the God that change not.

Although we live in a world where people are becoming increasingly selfish, ungrateful, a world where people's acts of kindness and good disposition towards all that is good can make them become vulnerable thus opening them to exploitation. Nonetheless those who are followers of Christ are called to live in love and the fruits of love abounds through good deeds. Tempted to become cynical and bitter because of past deeds that went unnoticed...We must heed the warning of the scriptures,  one which says that we should not be overcome by evil, nor are we to become wary of doing good.

Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

.Rather we should overcome evil with good, we should remain steadfast in the act of doing good, knowing that the one who instructs as well as compels us by his love to embark on the ministry of reconciliation with all men by loving them, is faithful, that at the right time and the ordained season, our own book of chronicles would be opened, just as it was opened for Mordecai to usher him into his season of recompense! As a matter we need to understand that the strength of the righteous lies not in trying to vindicate or avenge himself, by repaying evil for evil. Rather he should note that the one who instructs him to recompense evil with good, is the one who has promised to avenge the righteous and he has promised to trouble all those who trouble his righteous, he has instructed that no one should touch his Annointed nor trouble the apple of his eyes. The righteous can only retain this status when he or she refuses to be overcome by evil.

Perhaps the issue to worry about if there is any, is that nothing should hinder us from entering our season of recompense. Am I contradicting myself? I don't think so, but let me make myself clear on this. Mordecai by the act of good deed which he performed was qualified for a reward, and by the law of seed time and harvest time, this was established, the enemy cannot change this. But the enemy can attempt the following:

A. Hinder him from entering his season of recompense.

B. Hinder or disrupt the harvest or even conspire to steal it.

C. He can try to influence the quality and the quantity of the harvest.

There is a reason why farmers tend their crops on the field, there is a reason why those who have investments guard it jealously, this is done in order to make sure that the enemy of their labor does not mess up their anticipated yields and returns. The man Mordecai was a man given to prayers, although he was praying fasting and toiling day and night to preserve the lives of his kinsmen, what he was also doing without being aware of it is that he was watering and tending to his own seed of good deeds which he had sown.

You will not miss your season in Jesus name..Amen.
